Business

The business courses prepare you for what the business world is going to be like outside of high school and university when you get a job. Sports and entertainment marketing allows you to get a glimpse of what happens behind the scenes of professional sports and movies. These courses help you understand what you have to get used to.

There is very interesting things you do in the grade 11 sports and entertainment marketing. The biggest thing students like to do and is the biggest project in the course is you get the chance to move a NHL or NFL team to any place in Canada that would be suitable for a team, such as Toronto or Quebec City. Other things you do include creating a trip of a life time for a retired couple and create a sports tournament for a sport of your choice.

In grade 11 entrepreneurship the main interesting thing you will do is split up into groups and sell products or anything of your choice to the rest of the school in the hallways. Some students this year sold hot chocolate. One group offered to clean your locker.

The business courses are worth taking even if you're not going into the world of marketing. Business teaches you the basics of economics important in everyday life. This course will get you going into a better , more financially stable, future.
